For the third year in a row we will be collecting homemade Christmas cookies for those who work on Christmas Eve. Please bring as many cookies as you would like to worship on Sunday December 18th. They can be in plastic bags or reusable containers. After worship that day we will gather in the Family Life Center, set out all of the cookies, and repackage a selection of different cookies on plates with pretty ribbons. Each plate will be placed in a plastic zip lock bag so that they will stay fresh until Christmas Eve. With lots of hands working and a great assembly line system it doesn’t take us that long to make these unexpected gifts.
When you are working on Christmas Eve you don’t necessarily expect homemade goodies delivered right to you. That extra amount of care to stop, smile, and wish someone a Merry Christmas goes a long way. We hope that you will participate. Encourage your friends and neighbors to participate as well. Many people are looking for ways to reach out at Christmas time but aren’t sure how. This is a great way to show Jesus’ love!
