before dropping it in the offering plate or mail.

 

Operation Christmas Child at Cokesbury is being re-organized as a year long mission. This will enable us to pack more boxes and hopefully eliminate the year end rush! Each month from March through October we will collect items for the shoeboxes. The collection basket will be located by the hallway door in the old sanctuary (room 109). The boxes will be filled throughout the year by our children during Sunday school and children’s church.

Items to be collected:
·         March – Washcloths and soap
·         April- Small toys (stuffed animals, cars, yo yos, jump ropes, etc.) and socks
·         May- Brushes and combs
·         June- sunglasses, caps, play jewelry, hair accessories
·         July- small coloring books and small toys
·         August- Crayons, pencil sharpeners, notepads, erasers, colored pencils, safety scissors  and markers
·         September- hard candy, gum and children sized t-shirts
·         October- money to help ship the boxes



   
 
 
WSID is a new style of Bible study that seeks to answer the question, “what should I do” as we grow in wisdom for daily living. 
 
Studying the lessons, stories, parables, history, culture, and literature of the Bible reveal God’s wisdom. But discussing with one another what forms and shapes our daily lives reveal our values. Bringing the two together to learn “what should I do” will strengthen our relationship with God, with one another, and with the world as we are changed by a continuous encounter with God through study, fellowship, and daily living.
