Sunday Services![]() ![]() John 3:16
"God so love the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life." Cokesbury has two worship services on Sunday mornings.
Praise Service at 8:45 a.m. and Traditional Worship Service at 11:00 a.m.
PRAISE SERVICE – 8:45 AM
Our praise service at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings lasts approximately one hour. The songs in the service are led by our Praise Team and offer a mix of a contemporary and traditional service worshiping the Lord through song, scripture, prayer and sermon. All of the song lyrics and scripture are shown on the Sanctuary’s three (3) large projection screens. All participation in the service is voluntary. Communion is celebrated at least the first Sunday of each month.
SUNDAY SCHOOL – 10:00 AM
Classes are held for nursery age to senior adult. The classroom locations are marked in our education building. We welcome and encourage you to try one or all of our adult classes and bring your child to the classes designed for them. (Background checks are completed on all nursery, children, and youth teachers and workers.)
TRADITIONAL SERVICE – 11:00 AM
Our traditional worship service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings lasts approximately one hour. All of the hymns, scriptures, and prayers said in unison are shown on the Sanctuary’s three (3) large projection screens. Hymnals and bibles are also provided. All participation in the service is voluntary. The service includes Communion/The Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
All are welcome to receive Communion.
Our children, youth and adults participate in the service as special events occur through out he year. Our choir offers an anthem and music during this service.
Greeters and ushers are available before and after the services, to answer questions you may have.
A Welcome Center is available in the Narthex to equip you with additional information about Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
