Our website extends an open invitation to all who visit it and has the potential to have the largest outreach of any ministry. The Cokesbury website address is http://www.cokesburyumc.com. Website pages will be kept as up to date as possible. Current information keeps site visitors interested in our church. Therefore, dated information will be removed as it expires and new information will be posted promptly. However, any change requests that require major structural changes will be treated as a "project" and completion time will vary depending on the work load and the request's impact to other areas of the site.

Any information published on our site is representative of our church family. As such, all of our members and guests are encouraged to review the website, and provide feedback regarding its contents. Care will be exercised in the publication of details for events focusing on children and youth. Content of our site will at all times be family-friendly and appropriate for persons of any age. Cokesbury United Methodist Church will not permit commercial or political advertising on our website.

Photographs on the Web

Photographs enhance our website by adding a personal 'face' to our web ministry. Photographs may be used in moderation to embellish our site presentation. Captions may be used to describe the basic activity associated with the photos. Photographs used will be limited to group photographs, as much as possible, and will not be designed to single out individuals.

While it might seem preferable to seek out express permission from the subject(s) for publication, this is often not practical or even possible. Therefore, Cokesbury United Methodist Church will assume it has permission from its members to use their photograph, unless a member personally retracts it. Any person may explicitly request that their identifiable likeness be kept from (or removed from) publication by contacting the church office or the Pastor. Children will not be identified by name for safety purposes.
