Operation Christmas Child at Cokesbury is being re-organized as a yearlong mission. This will enable us to pack more boxes and hopefully eliminate the year end rush! Each month from March through October we will collect items for the shoeboxes. The collection basket will be located by the hallway door in the old sanctuary (room 109). The boxes will be filled throughout the year by our children during Sunday school and children’s church.
Items to be collected:
• March – washcloths and soap
• April- small toys (stuffed animals, cars, yo yos, jump ropes, etc.) and socks
• May- brushes and combs
• June- sunglasses, caps, play jewelry, hair accessories
• July- small coloring books and small toys
• August- crayons, pencil sharpeners, notepads, erasers, colored pencils, safety scissors and markers
• September- hard candy, gum, and children sized t-shirts
• October- money to help ship the boxes
